Refund Policy
Damages and liability
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If the package was damaged during transport, ensure to document it so we can communicate this to our delivery services.
We are not liable for goods once they are in the possession of the collector. It is not our duty to refund, exchange, replace or compensate by any means for the damage of products that have been mishandled by customers. For example: smudging fingerprints, tearing fine art prints, damaging works, etc.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Original art pieces cannot be returned. Please get in touch if something has gone wrong or if you have concerns about your specific item, we will do our best to resolve them.
We do our best to offer colour accurate photography of the artwork, but please be mindful that calibrations often vary between devices. If colour calibrations are of concern, we recommend viewing the item from multiple devices (desktop, phone, etc.)
European Union 14-day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. However, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.
Duties and taxes
The studio is operated in the Netherlands and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased. This includes but is not limited to the commissioning of a custom piece, originals and fine art merchandise.
Prints are handled by our partner The Print Space who operate in the United Kingdom and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased.
Any applicable taxes and duties are not included in the checkout total. These are determined by the customs agency in the destination country. Some countries charge import taxes while others do not. The customs agency will notify the recipient either by mail, phone, or email to pay these charges, so that the shipment can continue to its destination.
It is the responsibility of the customer to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges. If you refuse to pay these additional amounts, your delivery will be returned to us. Provided that the product is in its original condition, we will refund you the cost of your purchase (minus the costs of shipping to your country).
Refunds
Return shipping fees will be paid by the customer. A refund will be issued as soon as your item arrives at our studio and we confirm it is damage-free. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please contact us at hello@roosvandermeijs.com to request a refund and use the shipping label provided by us.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, we will get in contact with you about the refund. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
